PERSONAL: She is 32 has been married for a year and a half, this is her 2nd marriage. She does not want children. I am24 been married 9 months, and does not want children.
Sooo this book is about a 30 something lady who knew since she was very young that she did not want children. This was a deal breaker for most boyfriends etc. until Claudia meets Ben and they both agree until one day Ben says he wants to have a baby, once again a deal breaker.
This is my first Emily Giffin book I've read and I am deff going to read the others!!
There is so much passion in her books when Ben & Claudia have life changing arguments it hurt ME! I felt like I was in it. I cried a tiny bit in one part. Its a good book weather you do or dont want or have children. READ IT! :)

Go Ask Alice

So I'm almost 99.9% sure I had read this book in like 4th grade lol but I don't think I really understood it too well. I was at a garage sale and it was a quarter and felt the need to bring it home with me. Apparently this book is a real diary. There is no author it under "Anonymous" and no where in the book do they use the name Alice except when the girl says she feels like Alice in Wonderland and there is another girl named Alice mentioned once. This book came out in the 1970's and there has been so much controversy since then. Some city and states have banned the book from being sold, people feel that it's not 100% true. An editor came fourth and claimed she added/deleted a few etc. ANYWAY.....
This is about a 15 year old girl who starts off having typical teenage issues...boys, parents, friends, school. Well when she goes to spend a summer at her grandmothers house she gets introduced to drugs. She seems pretty honest in the story very naive and innocent. Very how would you say? Teenage lol. Some parts are to swallow she runs away more than once gets mixed up with the wrong people, but you can see that she really wants to be a good girl. Well anyway the part that gave me chills was actually the epilogue. I would recommend this for a quick read. Less than 200 pages took me a day and a half. I guess it would have been more impacting if I had read it when I was in High School. Now at 24 I've read and dealt with first hand and my own clients with much more ummm worse situations? I give it 3.5 stars but like I said it worth the read if you have a few hours to kill or if your in High School you might know someone just like Alice. Has anybody else read this? Planning on it?
<3

P.S. It was so sad to read about how she felt, how she loved this man so much, she married him because she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him and now he's gone. and there was not one thing she could do about it. some parts are hilarious some sad some happy. it really is a sort of rollercoater book. Its like you want to tell her just move on and be happy but when you think about it how could you even bare to wakeup in the morning knowing the love of your life has passed on and theres no getting them back? I say READ this book! I did have it moments when your like "Really?! again? your confused again!? but when she begins explaining why shes confused well then it all makes sense lol.
Let me know if any of you have read this or if you plan on it :)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://beautybookshelf.blogspot.com/2010/11/ps-i-love-you-by-cecelia-ahern.html' title='P.S. I remember seeing previews for this movie and to be 100% honest I’m not the biggest fan of British humor. But I though what the hey
So this review is going to be on BOTH of the books. Right off the back 3 stars (and I feel generous) Bridget Jones sounds like a typical girl in some ways…never happy with her looks, has great friends and family who also are crazy. She falls in lust and in love. She goes through heartbreak and good times. BUT it sort of lagged on…like blah blah blah just get to the point already! I would NOT recommend these books. It was a waste for me; I already took them off my bookshelf and might mosey on to Half Price books to donate. I rarely and I mean RARELY say this, but Bridget Jone’s Diary the FILM was better than the novel! Now Bridget Jones; the Edge of Reason well some parts of that book were better but it was all just kind of loopy and extra out of the ordinary. So short review I would say skip these two! Has anybody else read these? Suggestions? Comments? <3

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

If I Stay is one of those books that as soon as I finished reading it I thought to myself - Damn! I wish I wrote that!

This book is centered around Mia, who is a serious classical cellist. She has everything she wants - a great family - her mom and dad were former musicians and her little brother Teddy constantly says the most adorable things. She also has a great boyfriend - Adam- who is also a musician, more emo than classical though.

One morning all of that changes though and she loses some of the most important people in her life. Now she has a choice - Do I stay..?? As she gets to decide whether to stay or go she is able to watch the reactions of those still living, hoping that she will decide to stay.

I absolutely adore the way this book is written. It goes back and forth between the present and the past. The present is time stamped and the past shows you glimpses of Mia's life, each story showing you reasons why she would stay or go.

Not only does this book talk about living & dying, but it also shows you love - family love, friend love, and romantic love. There were times as I was reading that I kept saying to myself..OMG. The story just felt all too real, and it really did make me question that when that time comes if we really do have a choice.

Another key feature that stands out in this book to me is music. All of the major characters in this book are musicians and the writer did an amazing job of sort of giving you a soundtrack for this story. She gives you the first song that Mia ever played, the songs that played at the first concert that Mia and Adam went, & also the music that she listens to as she makes her decision. I feel like the music choices help perfect this story, because it makes you feel like you really know the characters.

I have to say that although this book discuss many serious topics, there were plenty of times that I caught myself laughing aloud. The story is real, and sometimes no matter how serious a situation may be - it's just plain funny.
I won't go into more detail since I don't want to ruin the story for you. I refuse to be your movie trailer - giving you all the good stuff in 2 minutes and leaving you feeling like you already watched the movie. ;)

My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares

My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares

So I heard about this book in a couple of magazines & I decided that if that many magazines thought I should read it, then I will. It does help that it was compared to the love that occurs in Twilight. NO this book has nothing to do with vampires, but it is about eternal love.

This book is about Daniel who is one of the few people who can remember all of his past lives - called memory. In each of these lives his mission is to find and be with the love of his life - Sophia. Sophia was her name when he first fell in love with her, but in this life her name is Lucy. Daniel and Lucy meet (in this life) in high school and for some reason Lucy is inexplicably drawn to him. When Lucy finally gets her chance to get close to Daniel he rushes in and begins speaking to her as if she has the gift of memory too, which only confuses her and causes her to run away from him. After years of not being able to stop thinking about Daniel and what he said to her Lucy decides to do a little research and discovers some very amazing things about who she was and who she loved in her past lives.

At first I did find this book confusing because it tends to take place at several different times, each chapter is a new time. Every other chapter is written from Sophia/Lucy's point of view while the other is from Daniel's.

I really have to say that I find the concept of reincarnation and the way that it is portrayed in this book to be very fascinating.

Here's a small snippet of the book that explains reincarnation -

"Well. It's a strange thing," I explained. "With each birth your body starts out fresh and mostly blank, but then you print yourself on it over time. You hold onto old experiences: injuries, injustices, and great love affairs, too." I glanced up at Sophia. "And you hold them in your joints and your organs and wear them on your skin."

If you're looking for an out of the ordinary love story to get yourself lost in, than this is the book for you.

Overall this book reminded me of The Time Traveler's Wife, which is a very good thing.

FYI - Ann Brashares is also the writer of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

The Messenger by Mayra Montero

Well let me say it right away:
I HATE THIS BOOK! Gah OMG like really? Really lady?! This was your best? *vomit*
This is a Spanish book translated into English, I have NO idea if that has anything to do with it.
Okay, it takes place in Havana Cuba in the 1920's so it has all this like witch craft "curandero" type of stuff and this half Cuban half Chinese chick who's godfather can like read the air and it will tell him whats going to happen in the future blah blah blah she hooks up with this married dude they have a kid his wife kills herself then he and their kid die she cries a little moves on meets this Italian guy he goes with her blah blah she remind him of some chic who used to breast feed him (YUK) they do it blah blah

Out of 218 pages I got to page 75 in like 2 weeks. Horrible I know. Not even half...I tried real hard to read as much as I could but I was like "umm I'd rather clean/cook/sleep/watch TV" than read this book. So I felt it was a waste of time and am now letting the world know lol

I give it 1.2 stars just cause of the creativity. If anybody wants to give this book a whirl please email me at vansmakeupride@gmail.com with your address, if not I'm giving this to goodwill

-Vanessa

Hello Kitty Must Die by Angela Choi

Hello Kitty Must Die by Angela Choi

This is definitely one of those books that I judged by it's cover!!! I mean how can you not..?? I am very fond of Hello Kitty & I needed to know why she must die...haha!! In this book Hello Kitty refers to the stereotype of Asian woman and why that type of person needs to go away.

This book follows Fi - a corporate lawyer who refuses to wear lipstick, who actually enjoys the pain of stilettos, & who took her own virginity with a silicone dildo drenched in lidocaine (numbing agent). YES!! Fi definitely thinks outside of the box. She tries her best to juggle the Chinese & American world, while not truly believing in most the Chinese tradition. Fi's parents are very concerned about her lack of a husband and child and repeatedly set her up on AWFUL dates - one guy didn't want to pay for her food, another took her crabbing with 3 of his friends..oh and the second guy also told her to watch him lift weights. WHAT?? WHY..??

After she takes her own virginity she decided to find a doctor to restore her hymen...you know just in case. The doctor (Sean) turns out to be an old Catholic school friend who thinks even more radically than Fi!!

Fi & Sean quickly catch up and renew their friendship again, but with a darker twist. Sean likes to make 'things happen' when people cross the line with Fi or just for the hell of it. After all this is the same guy that lit a girl's hair on fire in grammer school!!

Go find out why Hello Kitty must die!! I really enjoyed this book, it gave me a look into another cultural and another time of beliefs. I can honestly say this book made me laugh out loud & shake my head at the same time. This book is a perfect blend of chick lit & disturbia.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

So I was a bit hesitant to read this book. I mean for one the beginning takes place in Afghanistan in like the 1970's. Would I EVER relate to that? of course not. But I gave it a chance and OH MY GAWD everybody and their moma has to read this now... It is one of those "hard to swallow" type of stories.. I had to put it down from time to time because it really was too had to bare at time, it made me sad and made me cry as well. It's about a rich afgan boy (Amir) and his story with his best friend and loyal servant (Hassan) Amir moves to America and like 20+ years later goes back to the middle east because he is told to. .....sounds lame but trust me its not!

NOTES AFTER READING:
Hossein is not one to sugar coat his stories. If you try to skim through the chapters you are going to miss something very important. And even though the story is so raw it will fill you up with emotion (that's when I had to put it down) but you have to know what happens next so you take a deep breath and keep reading. I had a mix of emotions for Amir the main character. At first I thought this kid is great he is friends with his servant Hassan, I mean what a great guy right? Well that is until the climax of the story. The part that changes EVERYTHING. Gawd did he piss me off it was hard to forgive him after that. I also expected him to throw himself at the chance to save Sohrab but noo he was forced. He was such a disappointment, but that just made me want the best for little Sohrab.

TIPS WHILE READING:
Try to remember every bodies name through out the story each name is as important as the next. And will all pretty much come up.

NOVEL VS FILM:

Movie ssssssuuuuuuxxxxxxxxxx gawd that movie sucked I mean I understand that not everything that is in a 400 page book can fit in an hour and a half movie but geez seriously?! If I was just watching the movie I would be so confused and lost after like 30 mins! They don't explain and they miss out a lot.. so if you have seen the movie before the book don't let it discourage you from great literature.

Vanessa gives this book 5 stars!

Hollywood is Like High School with Money

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_M9_WsRy8gm4/S_CAdetdqxI/AAAAAAAABKk/cHDfJBn6ykc/s320/51vCXBlbupL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472014791203466002" />

I know, most of the reviews I (Melissa) do are quite superficial, chick lit books. So why change that now? LoL

Hollywood is like High School with Money, is written by Zoey Dean. Dean is mostly known for The A-list series. I used to be quite obsessed with this series, but then it got a little too back and forth for me. Like the same couple dated 10 times just to break up 10 times and date other people. That's kind of why I got sick of Gossip Girl also.

This book is written for the older set, and I think is perfect for a college grad. This story follows 24 year old Taylor Henning. Taylor dreams of being behind the camera and create amazing thought provoking, un-blockbuster types of movies. She lands a job as a 2nd assistant to a Hollywood big-wig at the fake Metronome Studios.

While Taylor is quite like-able as a brand new city girl who has to adjust from her CT school to life in LA, it is the high school she enlists to help her that steals the book for me. There's not many times I like the bitch in a book, but I love this bitch lol.

This is a super quick read, perfect for any upcoming trips to the beach or laying out by the pool. It's thoughtless, fun, girly reading.

Enjoy!

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

So I picked up this book because I heard that it was about wolves, and being Team Jacob I figured I would finally get the story I wanted out of Twilight. While this book is about wolves & love that's pretty much where the similarities end. This book is written in two different voices - Grace & Sam, which to me I find really helpful because it fills in all of the gaps the other voice didn't mention.

At the beginning of the story Grace is obsessed with the wolves that she sees in her backyard, especially one that had saved her during an attack when she was young. She finally gets a chance to make contact with him after he has been shot, only to find out that her wolf is really a werewolf! In his human form his name is Sam and her many years of obsessing over this wolf blossom into everything she hoped it would be.

Unlike most wolf stories though, Sam does not turn into a wolf only during times of a full moon. Sam was bitten by a wolf when he was young & every winter since then he has transformed into a wolf. The cold is what triggers the change for Sam, but as most wolves get older they stop changing back into their human form when Spring comes.

I could NOT put this book down, I had to know what happened next. The story does focus more on the romance between Sam & Grace, but there are detailed wolf scenes that make this book a little less love story-ish. I really enjoyed the writing style, Sam's character often describes his feelings for Grace in short poetry, which I LOVED. While this book is geared towards young adults I really do think the writing makes it enjoyable for everyone.

Now the real question is -

Will Grace & Sam's love be able to overcome Sam's permanent wolf transformation?

Read & find out! ;)

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_M9_WsRy8gm4/S3robW6eGmI/AAAAAAAABBA/SigEmEREiUQ/s320/418KTn5FxcL._SL500_AA240_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438915056708229730" />

This book has been around and quite popular for some time. However, I had no desire to read it until I saw the coming attractions for the movie. If there's a movie I want to see that's a book, I HAVE to read the book first, because the book is always better.

For those of you who don't know what the book is about, it's about a 14 year old girl who is raped and murdered. Pretty much the entire story is told from heaven as she looks down on her family and friends. The unsolved murder of their daughter and sister really tears the Salmon family apart and Susie (the main character) discovers that maybe they can't let her go, unless she lets them go.

I literally cried out loud at certain points during this book. The first chapter is incredibly difficult to read as it's about Susie's rape and murder and at some points the book comes to a lull and you just want to get to a "good part", but PLEASE keep reading. The last three chapters I just finished last night and my eyes woke up puffy, that's how much I cried. It was such a beautiful story and written so elonquently, I recommend this to EVERYONE. I'm forcing my boyfriend to read it!

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

Finally I get around to talking about a mushy book!!! I have to be honest mush books are the majority of what I read. I love to read everything by Nicholas Sparks, I mean come on, the man wrote The Notebook & A Walk to Remember!!!

A quick teaser about the book - Thibault, a US Marine, finds a picture of a woman while he is stationed overseas. His luck completely changes after he finds this picture, suddenly everything starts to go his way. As soon as his tour is over he decides that he needs to find a way to meet this woman. Thibault manages to put together some clues of where this lucky lady could be and sets out to find her.

He finds his lucky lady in North Carolina - Elizabeth, a divorced mother. If you've ever read a Nicholas Sparks book then you know that at some point this does become a romance novel!! Thibault feels a strong connection with Elizabeth, but how can he explain this connection..?? Can he really tell her that he searched for her because he felt that a picture of her brought him luck?? As their relationship starts to grow stronger, his secrets threaten their relationship.

Will he finally tell Elizabeth the truth..?? Will she believe him..? And finally...where did this lucky picture come from?? Did it once belong to another man..?? *dun, dun, dun!!*

Well I can't tell you that!! Money, newest handbags, new makeup collections, new boyfriend..?? Then you can relate to this book..

Ok I know that Christmas time has come and gone, but this story is special no matter what time of year it is. This story is about Lou who believes that all of the wrong things are important - his job, money, and affairs. Gabe comes into his life in a very strange way and helps Lou see what is truly important, in very inappropriate ways. Gabe begins to be everywhere that Lou is, almost to the point where it feels like he can be at two places at once. Lou begins to think that Gabe is trying to steal his job, his wife, his life!! This book does have a lot of twists and turns, but I promise that they are all worth it! I can't say I'm a fan of the way the story ended, but without the ending the story wouldn't have been told (the story at times is told from a 3rd person point of view.). A little cheesy & campy, but a good book to get lost in for a few hours. It reminds me of a modern day A Christmas Carol.

FYI - Cecelia Ahern is also the author of PS, I Love You.

Water for Elephants

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 115px; height: 115px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_M9_WsRy8gm4/S0gVBLZKFsI/AAAAAAAAA4Y/bf-mR-PK2fY/s320/410HkRMKKpL._SL160_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-dp,TopRight,12,-18_SH30_OU01_AA115_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424608861150123714" />
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

BN.com Description:

Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It’s the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. There he meets the freaks, grifters, and misfits that populate this world. He introduces us to Marlena, beautiful star of the equestrian act; to August, her charismatic but twisted husband (and the circus’s animal trainer); and to Rosie, the seemingly untrainable elephant Jacob cares for. Beautifully written, with a luminous sense of time and place, Water for Elephants tells of love in a world in which love’s a luxury few can afford.

This is NOT my typical kind of book, nor would it be a book that I would ever pick on my own. This was given to me by my aunt over Christmas break. She said I would absolutely love it, and so I decided to try something different. I started it New Years Eve when I was on my way to Atlanta, I finished it on January 2nd. This book was AH-MAZING!

As an animal lover, some of the scenes were quite difficult to read, but unfortunately after a little research, I found out that was typical of traveling circuses back in the day. The story flips back and forth between Jacob, the main character being 23 and him being 93. It tells the story of how Jacob joined the traveling circus and his adventures of falling in love with his bosses wife. You learn to love the supporting characters such as Marlena, his love interest, Rosie, the elephant and his midget roomie, Walter.

The ending is absolutely perfect, and makes this story, which is just so sad and gut wrenching most of the time, worth the read. PLEASE give this a read and let me know how you like it!

Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell

I got this book for my Birthday from the beautiful, Mel, a beauty blogger HERE.
So the book? LOVED IT! Its nothing like the movie, since this was published back in the 90's. Yes. S&C is from the 90's ladies. lol

BUT it is a lot like the episodes! Pretty random crazy stuff.

For me, 95% UNrelatable. Why?
1. I'm not rich.
2. Not from NY or even been to NY
3. I'm not in my 30's.
4. I don't sleep around.
5. I don't do drugs.
6. I rarely drink.
etc. etc.
BUT that is what I loved about this book, I have no idea what this is about so its a total adventure! lol

Every chapter is about a different subject like; lesbians, threesomes, marriage, kids, s&m, drugs, men, women, bitches, losers etc.
And each chapter has sub-chapters dealing with the same subject.
Just like in the episodes, some characters are only mentioned once, some through out.

But unlike the episodes, its not a narrative by Carrie...actually come to think i cant even think whose the narrator, but Carrie & Mr.Big are big characters later on in the book :)

I say READ IT! If you love the episodes your gong to LOVE the book! If you love the movie, you MIGHT like the book. Most Sex & the City fans know the movie was not like the show.

LMK if you read it, or are planning on :)

The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah

So I can't say that I've recently read this book, but this is an old favorite for sure!!

This book is raw!!! I mean really raw!!! Her family moves from the Brooklyn projects to a mansion on Long Island and things start to get bad - shootings, competing drug dealers, & arrests!!

You are taken through the many emotions of a young teenage girl - confusion, hurt, lust, greed, & loneliness. I will admit that while Winter is very cut throat her character is still someone you feel sympathy for. I've read this book at least 5 times already & every time I pick it up I can't seem to put it down till I finish it. I can't tell you much more without giving the book away, but I can say that this book will make you appreciate what you have.

544 pages.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Hunter S. A LOT.. hints why its the RUM diary.
#2 The people he meets (other Americans) are effin crazy! Drunks, Pervs, Angry and even abusers!
#3 Apparently people who come from the good 'Ol U.S of A don't really stay to long in Puerto Rico, the natives don't care much for them or their lame newspaper, they are quiet violent toward them as well.
#4 There is quiet a lot of adventure i suppose? Its like he doesn't do much, but so much happens lol
#5 The ending = lame!!! I thought it would have been cooler if he got rich, died, or ran off w this one chic he has been digging since like page 2.

I give it 3.5 stars for making me want to know what happens next.... but the ending was a total loss, in my opinions of course.

*This will be made in to a movie w Johnny Depp playing the role of none other than Paul Kemp*
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson is an amazing writer none the less, I felt like Paul Kemp was a real guy and these were truly his feelings. I could almost hear him telling me his story, and wanting to know what happens in the next chapter, and the next and the next....
I say if you find this on sale or at some used book store grab it! If your a Depp fan, read it and compare to the movie :)

Book info:
$14
204 pages
1998

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://beautybookshelf.blogspot.com/2009/12/rum-diary-by-dr-hunter-s-thompson.html' title='The Rum Diary by Dr. Hunter S. I am the chick lit master lol. I love Meg Cabot, especially from The Princess Diary series. The "Queen" series is one of her adult series and I definitely plan on reading the next book.

The book revolves around Lizzie Nichols, a recent college grad who moves from Michigan to NYC to live with her boyfriend Luke. Her and Luke met over vacation in Paris. as she's one of her best friends', best friend. They are only dating for a few months when she moves there.

Anyone who lives in or around NYC knows how hard it is to find a job. It's even harder to find Lizzie's job, to become a certified wedding gown specialist- basically she wants to take old ugly wedding dresses and turns them into beautiful wedding dresses. By a twist of fate she gets a part time job at a law firm and an internship at a wedding dress specialist. It' becomes challenging to balance both when she gets a famous client.

Also, the entire time she has marriage on the brain, and swears that only after six months, Luke is going to pop the question.

I really loved this book, and I really love Cabot's writing. You related to her character's so much and it's just fluff, fun and romance! A definite happy feeling read!

320 pages

Still Alice by Lisa Genova

Still Alice by Lisa Genova

Have you ever known someone that has Alzheimer's disease? My grandmother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease so when I came across this book I thought I should read it and try to get a little more insight as to what she's going through. Well I got so much MORE!! This book is REAL...and yes very sad at times, but it gives you a very in depth story of what it's like to be living with Alzheimer's disease.

This is Alice's story - an esteemed psychology professor at Harvard, living a comfortable life in Cambridge with her husband & how she and her family deal with her Alzheimer's disease diagnosis. I know this sounds like a very depressing book, but the relationships & bonds she makes while trying to cope with this disease are amazing and touching. She deals with many of her stuggles through comedy. This story is actually one of fiction, which is really hard to believe because of how detailed and real it seems.

A portion of the sale of each novel will go to the Alzheimer's Association.

320 pages.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Sci. I LOVED this book! I give it 4.5 happy faces for me!

What is it about?
Well, its about this teenage girl names Liz, who had an accident and died.
Sounds like the end of the story right? ha! WRONG!
Well, Liz wakes up on a ship and doesn't know she died or where the hell shes going...
GET THIS!
Shes going where ...all the dead people go.. heaven? No! hell? NO!
Well I don't wanna give it ALL out! BUT its pretty much where you go/what happens AFTER you die...
It is NOT some religious, nor spiritual kind of story either!

So yup.. its the story of Liz's umm life? after death lol! It has the people in her life/death and how she "grows up".
